Can I try using a payment method again if it’s been deactivated?
If your payment method was deactivated while attempting to make your upfront payment, you’ll be unable to retry that method. If it is a repayment other than your upfront payment, the payment method can be retried.
What reasons could trigger my payment method to be deactivated?
There are several reasons why your payment method may be deactivated, including the bank account is closed or unable to located, the bank account number is invalid, or the type of account does not allow payments to be made.
Why doesn’t the email I received contain the reason my payment failed?
Since there are several reasons a payment can fail, the fastest way to get payment information to you is to notify you of a problem with your payment method.
Can I re-enter the same account information on the portal?
You can, but you’ll need to enter valid information for your payment to post properly. Entering the same information will cause the same result.
How will I be notified if my payment method is invalid?
We’ll send you an email notification alerting you when your payment method is invalid, and your Best Egg Resident Portal will have a warning sign next to “Autopay On.”
What happens if I try to make a payment, but my primary payment method is deactivated?
You’ll be prompted to add a primary payment method, and your payment will not be submitted until you take that step. The ‘Submit payment’ button will be unavailable until you update your payment method.
