To pay off credit cards using Direct Pay, follow these steps:
- Log in and go to the Direct pay set up screen.
- Select “Add Direct Payment” to get started.
- Select Credit card.
- When selecting Credit Card, confirm if the card is a Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express or an Other Store/Retail card.
- If the card has a Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express symbol, select “Yes.”
- If the account is for a store or retail account and the card does NOT have a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express symbol, then select “No”.
- Enter the amount to be paid.
- Select your creditor’s name from the dropdown menu.
- Enter your account number twice to confirm accuracy.
You’ll be prompted to confirm, enter, or edit the company’s payment address— Spelling must be accurate; this should match what’s listed on your billing statement.
Important:
Best Egg provides the most up-to-date address on file, but it’s your responsibility to verify the payment address is correct. All Direct Pay credit card payments are sent via ach and typically take 1-3 business days for payments to be received.
Final step:
Once all accounts are entered, click “I’m Done”. You’ll receive a confirmation. You can still edit payment details before submission if needed.
